I love the way I feel. Free and not afraid. I love a sunny day. I love listening to rain. I smile at what I see. A dancing flower or a bird in a tree. I love a cloudy day. I love running in the rain. And what we do when we get down, we keep singing on. We keep dreaming on.

You're gone every time my song comes alive. You want what is mine, but you run and hide. You're gone every time my groove comes alive. I want everything your groove has inside.

Run on by, run on by. I can see your heart is open. Don't ask why, don't ask why. I can't put my feet in motion. You ran by, you ran by. When I looked my heart was open. I won't lie, I won't lie, I couldn't put my feet in motion. I'm not shy, I'm not shy. I wanted to talk to you (baby I wanted you to). But I ran by, I ran by. Maybe that's how it goes (maybe that's how it goes). You'll be livin' it up and I'll be fine. You'll be livin' it up and I'll be fine. You'll be livin' it up and I'll be fine. Come on by, come on by. I pushed you when the door was open. This is why, this is why. My will is bad, my good is broken.

Did you feel the tide come in last night? Like a farewell from the sea. Like a farewell from the sea. I could feel the air turn cold last night, like it was pushing me home. But there's nothing wrong with me. Could you hear our voices separate as we left them in the sand? I am scared to leave this town tonight; feels stranger than it did to arrive. But there's nothing wrong with me.

I remember the night my father took me outside; it was dark and cold, but we fixed the pipe. And the dusty village mother showed us around - her compassion bright, her emotion sound. I remember the night my sister sang in my song; played the melody and she went along. And with my brothers, I would fight all the time until we learned without pride, life is just fine. Show me all your happy, where the smiles come easy. Happy on the outside, where the smiles come easy. When I asked to kiss you almost told me no; then you took my hand and it started there. Then you showed me patience and passion. What did you get from me?

I feel the time as it passes over my head. I see it flow with the wind, then it blows away. I feel the chill of the cold as I breathe in. I feel the heat of the sun, then it fades away. I write a song when I start to feel lonely; I yell it out to the sky, then it blows away. I try to eat when I start to feel hungry, but as I watch the sun fall I just want to play. Time just runs away. I'm 25, but I feel like I'm 20. As I watch the sun fall I'm sad to say my time keeps runnin' away. I need to cry just to drag it out. I want to make myself feel it. I dread the time when it comes around. I want to, I want to make it go away. I had a dream that my time had a meaning, that all the colors of my life could make a rainbow, and all the trees above would stare with their envy, then reach down with their branches and try to take it all away.

My eyes are on the loose, running around and making up stories to tell. And they look for you - my long lost vision of a day at the top of the world. They searched the urban side, an orange glow, a circuit board of city lights, blanketing the windy bay. In the nights they swayed like fire and carried me way up. To the top I'm headed now. To the stars I'm headed now. My eyes are on the loose, running away and looking for a place for you, for you to stay a while, a place where all your work isn't for nothing. My loss is your loss too, the burden of a dead-end job that was holding you back from the top of the world, where the night lights sway like fire and carry you way up. To the top I'm goin' now. To the top I'm headed now. My eyes are on the loose, running around and making up stories to tell, and they look for you, my long lost vision of a day at the top of the world (Do you think you can get me through? Do you think you can get me to the top of the world?). Do you think you can get me through? Do you think you can get me through? If you're not gonna carry me up, then carry me out. Way up. To the top I'm headed now. To the stars I'm headed now.

So here we flow like bubbles in the sea. We used to know the fear that dark could bring made us nervous. But faith can move a mountain. Hope can lead the way to the undiscovered. Do you think the air is warmer? Do you think it ever rains above the surface? I will, I will be the one to remind you. You call me Sweets and I still call you Honey. I feel a sting of excitement for some change, something simple. I imagine you laughing in the rain in a field of tall green. Do you think the time is slower? Do you think the clocks remain the voice of thunder? I will, I will be the one to remind you. You call me Sweets and I still call you Honey.

about

Logan Anderson Colorado Springs, Colorado

I've enjoyed making music since I was 13 years old. It wasn't until late 2013 that I decided to be a bit more persistent, so I released my first album, "Nomad". My favorite part of making music is physically playing and experimenting with different instruments and sounds. I think this aspect helps take my songs in great and unexpected directions. ... more
